Kast vs LinkedIn analytics tools

Prices checked on September 23, 2026.

Shield and Inlytics sit in the same niche: pulling stats out of LinkedIn that the platform doesn't show properly. Impressions over time, best formats, best times to post, follower growth, exportable tables for a client.

Inlytics, now called DemandBird, lists plans at $21.75, $36.75 and $111.75 a month billed annually, with a 7-day free trial, card required. Shield was unreachable when we checked on September 23, 2026.

What an analytics tool measures

An account's past. How many views, which format worked, which day to post, which post got the best engagement rate.

Those numbers are useful for adjusting an editorial line. They don't answer a consultant's question: did this content bring me a client?

What Kast measures

Three things, in this order. What you published. Who engaged, with their job title and company. Which post is behind a conversation that got started.

The third one is what almost nobody measures, and it's the only one that tells you what to do again the following week.

When to use both

An agency that bills for personal branding needs a clean monthly report for its client. An analytics tool delivers that better than we do.

A founder who posts to sell doesn't have that need. They need to know who read them.

Making the call

Choose an analytics tool if you're accountable for stats.

Choose Kast if you're accountable for meetings.

The simplest way is still to compare for yourself.
